Sadly broken vase but still beautiful. I could find someone to grind the broken bit, then I could use it.

Yes that is beautiful especially with the Aquilegia on it , have you tried your local window glacier to grind it for you ,we have a very good one locally he has done bits and pieces for us , we have been to his house he had used glass as dividing walls ,I wouldn't like all that glass to clean :o(
