Hello Terra, The holes "excavated "by these birds in saguaro cactus is often used later by a variety of other species, such as wrens and the Elf owls. There is a used home market in birds kingdom as well .(or maybe they are just squatters) :-)))))

They are very common in Arizona. They excavate a hole in saguaro cactus to nest.
