This is a beautiful colour ,mine is still going strong , do you protect yours in the winter Ph , I have read they can be tender ,I didn't cover mine last year they survived but were late to start growing ......

No protection for mine Amy they have been there for several years now so I think they are fairly hardy here, they are always start slowly in the spring but make up for it late summer :o)

Thanks Ph ,I will leave them as they are again this year ..

I can confirm it is hardy. I've had mine for over 15 years now and it never has any winter protection. In fact I had to divide it this spring because it was doing too well.

That's nice to know Andrew , Thanks , is spring the best time to lift and move them as I have 4/5 plants scattered and would like to bring them together as one nice clump ?

Thanks all, good thing I took this photo when I did the weather has taken a turn for the worst here. :(

From experience, I've found this needs a good sunny position and some moisture in the soil to get the best colouring.

Amy - yes, spring would be a good time

Andrew says it needs a sunny position and some moisture for good colour, this one is in a south facing position and moisture wasn't been a problem last year lol :o)))
