The hives didn't go to Dartmoor this summer because the weather was so poor, but last year the bees did quite well there.

We have quite a few hives but only 3 have bees in at the moment.
We do eat the honey ourselves but I tend to only have it when I have a sore throat or a cough!
It does taste very different from ordinary supermarket honey though, much nicer.

We have an allotment holder on here Chris who keeps hives and often gives us honey. I love it. You're right, it does taste nicer than the supermarkets.
