I believe these are Spartans. This tree is huge and produces "tons" of apples...which we usually juice and freeze some for the apple pies.

Apples don't grow very much here in San Diego. It's too warm in winter; not enough chilling for them.

Mmmmmm .....they look deliciously crunchy! Had an apple tree in my previous garden, but they were small & very tart.
