There is an old, not working slate mine in Abereiddi, in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. I visited the place this year in June while on short holidays. Will try to do a mini blog for you as it is raining today and I am staying home. Plenty of lovely slates - free, lol

this place is on my wish list. they had a diving competition there recently the pictures were awesome. maybe i'll get there soon as its not that far from me, only about 40 miles i think.
