Lovely fresh colour

The yellow I have is bright and brassy...I think I like this yellow better. There are so many types and colours in the dahlia family...gorgeous things. I want to have a large bed of them next year. Zinnias too.

Zinnias are another fav of mine Lori...They are a bit like dahlias aren't they?....I intend to grow lots for next Summer...I have sent for seeds 'big boy'...:>)

Really? is "big boy" a super-size? The zinnias are a less succulent plant than the dahlia...come from seed and will grow just about anywhere...Hence my interest, as I have garden beds that are only partially composted. They are great for cut flowers... Zingy charge for any arrangement. Like to do huge arrangements of glads, zinnias, dahlias and cosmos...a harvest home theme.

Wow!!...sound great Lori...I grow red & purple glads and Cosmos i adore...I have some growing called 'seashells'.. wonderful..and of course 'chocolate' Cosmos. I would say Dahlias, Zinnias and Cosmos are among my favourite flowers, i love Asters, Penstemons, Salvias & Meconopsis too....'Big Boy' grows to 0.75m and the flowers are big, red, purple, yellow and white......:>))
