Severe Thunderstorms in eastern San Diego County

Every day for the last month the big monsoonal thunderstorms have been hitting the mountains and deserts. It's only brought us the heat and humidity! I hope we get some rain soon! Photo taken in my neighborhood on Aug. 21, 2012.

Everyday the severe thunderstorms with flooding rains have been hitting the deserts and mountains. Today is no different. We did have some the monsoonal moisture clouds over head today...but, no rain.
Wow! That's incredible! I would not want to be there with all that heat! We've had enough of the heat here in San Diego! I know it's not over, either! I know you have the sea to try to cool off in...and I know it doesn't always work. The pool I've been going to has a water temp of 87ºF (30.6ºC), from the heatwave. It has gotten pretty warm...it's not as refreshing as it used to be.

Love those clouds!
Still boiling over here.....heard on the new today that this has been the hottest summer in the last 115 years.
