Loropetalum 'Fire Dance'

Loropetalum 'Fire Dance' (Loropetalum)

This plant is not fully hardy. An evergreen shrub, relative of witch-hazel with burgundy leaves which turn greener with age. It flowers in the winter time (ha ha, it clearly thinks July is winter in Scotland). I plan to bring it indoors for the winter. I believe it requiresa min. temp of 5C in order to flower.

Fascinating - I like plants with dark red leaves.
