Hi Meadowland, oh dear, I didnt know they were short lived. Grew mine from seed last year and big plants now .... even more reason to collect seed this Autumn then :-) I'll make sure I do so I can have them forever, such nice plants, I'm so impressed. Yes, I believe there are different colours, one is pinker rather than mauve, Simbad will know.

Hi Dawn! Love them also.So striking in the border.They also self seed so will keep an eye out for that.May also plant one in a large pot next year.Do you grow many salvias?

Wow, didnt know they were self seeders, brilliant. I've only recently had Salvias - the other one I have is Salvia Forsskaolii (wood sage).
