Daylily cross - Sdlg X Startle

Diameter: 4" TET
Habit: Dormant
Strong red with darker red eye andyellow throat.
Compare to the same cross in the next photo, Daylilies and Cat (top). This takes after Startle, but with the eye of the sdlg. If I was in a colder climate, the yellow wire edge might be teeth like Startle has.

Agree fabulous colour.............
I have 'Startle' its second year so you never know, maybe teeth this year :-), last year it was really pretty though but the edge was more bubbly, fingers crossed :-)

I just love going out in the morning and finding suprises like this. I have to start choosing who will be going on to next year and which ones will be making room for the new guys.

I should probably write a blog on ugly daylilies and what is wrong with them - I have several but they are just ignored and a note made for removal.
