looking forward to seeing how this turns out. The dark green leaved plant at front was from a local bring and buy sale, no idea what it is, it has lovely white single petalled flowers on long stem, leaves remain quite low. Any idea of his name? Ive never had verbena before and loving these!! sooo zingy!
oh in background is another ive no label for - its a thistle lookalike -ive still to sit and image search so any suggestions would be fab x

The dark leaved thingy looks a bit like a Japanese anemone - lovely if it is. I've been trying to grow them for ages without success.

I agree gattina, could well be that, I think they like shade?
The plant with the label in front of it, could that be erythronium? A very delicate and lovely flower, only about 10" tall?

Hi, Sticki! You up and about already? It's a bank holiday here, so no shopping this morning, so I don't feel guilty about blogging for a bit. :o) OH isn't awake yet, bless, so no point in putting the kettle on yet. I don't know erythronium at all, but it sounds nice. Yes, now you come to mention it, the anemone (perennial) will appreciate at least some shade, but the feverfew (annual) will enjoy the sun - maybe they should be re-grouped elsewhere, Magna?

It's a weekend and there isn't so much traffic going past my window! Double bank holiday to follow too! Unless you work in a shop or the leisure industry!

Erythroniums are lovely but I think I saw another photo of this one magnadoodle put on and it doesn't look the same from the other angle so I'm most likely wrong, sorry I don't know what it is.

Thanks, it is Japanese anemone. I will move the feverfew to the other side and can then try give everything some more space x
