They don't look like much from a distance, SL...but they're quite lovely close up! :)

This one's just a baby, Sticki - but it's trying hard - two clusters! :)

This is my favorite flowering vine, kind of slow getting started but when they take off they grow pretty fast! Once it gets a little older, it will look just as beautiful from far away as it does up close. Nice close-up picture, I like the little white fireworks in the middle!

Sorry, Sticki, Suzy and Paul...your comments have only just appeared!! What went wrong there, I wonder? And are there any more that I haven't answered...?

Thank you all, belatedly! :)

I really like them too, Rk...

I'm kind of hoping that since it likes it there, it'll take over and cover the whole of my very large and very bare gable end.

Actually, I like all of the less "showy" hydrangeas and I'm just waiting for quercifolia to burst into bloom! :)

You might luck out, I've seen these things cover huge areas! I like all hydrangeas, I think I have 20-30 hydrangea varieties. H. quercifolia has become one of my favorite plants, the flowers aren't as showy but the foliage looks nice and they are very colorful in the fall.

That would be just fab!
I love the way quercifolia arches, it's so elegant...and mine should flower this week. I have also bought another hydrangea recently, but I don't know what sort it is. They're not big on giving them their proper titles here. All I know is that the leaves are tinged with red and that the flower will be purple/white...and that it's a new variety. So, I can't wait to see that one! :)

Yeah that is becoming more of a problem here too. I try to stay on top of it but they release too many hydrangeas at once and most are the same. Hope they do well for you though!

Thanks! I noticed this morning that the first little bud is just starting to form...so not long to wait... :)
