I believe this is Salvia gesneriiflora ‘Tequila’.

I think it would get huge if I let it. It's been taller then me with a very wide spread. It does have to be cut way back often as it's very fast growing. I really like the way it looks in bloom though so I think its worth the trouble.

I like both of those Meanie. I can see why the 'blackcurrent' Salvia discolor is a favorite with the fuzzy silver green contrasting dark flower. I may need to add them to my ever growing plant collection. Last month bought Salvia dombeyi, Salvia vitiifolia & Salvia involucrata 'Hadspen' on line from Flowers by the Sea.
