Sunroom area

Sunroom area

Started moving my plants to my new house. Had to remove close to 15 yews already and still have 5 to go! Normally removing a 3' tall and 4' wide shrub is relatively easy but yews are a nightmare. Anyways, started working on this area in front of the sunroom and going with all Japanese plants. So far have two Hinoki cypress (Compacta on left, Fernspray Gold on right) and weeping Japanese maple as focal point. More plants to come along with grass removal and mulch.

That must be lovely feeling - moving to your own house and making garden in front of sunroom :)))
Why do you call it sunroom? It won´t be if you plant trees in front of the windows :))))

That maple is lovely.
Hope the rest of the moving goes well.

They call it sunroom because of the large windows on the front and back side that lets in a ton if light. I am going to put a lot of plants there but the biggest one is the compact Hinoki cypress. That one will get 20 feet tall but not for a long time, it grows very slowly.
Thanks, I like the maple too and happy that it did so well with the transplant. I moved it while it was dormant and aside from some frost damage it has adapted well.

Late night again RK?

Most of this week has been late, I have a lot to do before I move so I do my computer work at night to give myself time during the day. I had to return a bunch of fencing today and moved all of my sandstone, it's taking a long time mostly because I have to drive all over the place.

lets hope the move goes smoothly and you get a nice relaxing summer??!!
