fritillaria meleagris (Fritillaria meleagris (Snake's head fritillary))

I have this patch of ground outside the front. It is unkempt and kneedeep in moss and rough grass.

I keep it mowed but have decided to sow wild-flower seed across it to create a mini-meadow.

Last year to get things started I planted some of these (Fritillaria).
