Really good, well done all of you! :)))

Thank you! :))) Now, when you say 'all of you' I think you must be speaking about me and the angels....surely not the couple of 'shirkers' that gave me about 5 minutes of their time on the day I dug that big hole? ;)))))

Woohoo! Absolutely beautiful Karen. I love the plant at "4 o'clock" with bronze on its leaves . . .

superb - that's knowing how to design!

Looks really nice. Like it very much.

Lol, yes, I was talking about them as well Karen:)))

Lovely, Has anything else moved in yet? I mean in the pond not Hobbit Hill, Lol.

Sheila...that is a pink flowered Filipendula. The leaves are absolutely gorgeous.

Paul, you are very kind! Thank you ,that is quite a compliment from one with such a lovely garden as yourself.

Willinilli, no signs of anything yet....I'll have to be patient.

Thank you everyone. I am so pleased with it... I keep going out to have another look. I do hope we don't get any frosts over the weekend. They are saying -6, but I think they mean in the hills (I hope so anyway!!).

Love the planting Karen its looking great;0)

That looks grand, wonderful planting, we have a newt in our tiny pond and a frog today, and it is just a year old!!

3 May, 2012

I love it, Karen. You have such a lovely contrast of colours, shapes and height there. Well done, you (singular)! :))

Thank you very much! Ah, DD, so you DO still have a pond. I'm pleased to hear it! And a newt too! Lucky you! I'm glad you all like the planting. I think it is much better than my old pond from that point of view. I am still thinking of adding another solar pump to have a little trickle coming down...perhaps from an urn, or similar. I might add that later. At the moment there is only an oxygenating pump which puts a stream of tiny bubbles in to the water. I think the birds would enjoy a little stream or some kind.....

4 May, 2012

Love it! And I really like the Urn idea

4 May, 2012

Me too...I like listening to a little trickle of water. I've got an urn but it's not working at the moment. I need to take the pump out and clean it...but, it's just one of a long list of jobs which need doing...

Thanks for the ID Karen! I'll look out for one at Malvern . . . :)

4 May, 2012

What day are you going to Malvern Sheila?

4 May, 2012

Thanks Annie and Karen. I am going out shortly to look for a solar pump and urn. You're welcome Sheila! :))

4 May, 2012

Ha Karen when you said you might add an Urn later I thought you meant a later date not later today! But then I should of realised once you get an idea its done in an instance, just like the fairies have done it over night :-)

4 May, 2012

Lol I knew she meant right now Willi! Karen didn't you have an urn in your old pond? I remember the picture was lovely.

4 May, 2012

Yes, quite a large one Annie. It won't be today as I've been to the GC and they only have two solar pumps, neither of which is suitable for an urn. I shall have to order one online, which is frustrating....have to wait...don't like it! lol ;))

4 May, 2012

Lol I know that too!

4 May, 2012

:)) x

We'll be at Malvern on the Thursday, Willinilli . . . sorry won't see you there!

4 May, 2012

That didn`t take long Karen, when you get going, you DO get going. It looks superb.

5 May, 2012

Thank you very much stroller, I appreciate that! :))

5 May, 2012

Nearly missed this Karen, my word you've been busy, well done you, great fun isn't it, watching them develop...

6 May, 2012

Thanks Crissue. I keep having to fish the stones out of the pond. It must be cats at night that are knocking them in....or fairies!

6 May, 2012

Ah yes probably cats, after a drink, wedging the stones in is the next trick lol..

7 May, 2012

Oh wow... it's fabulous!!!

8 May, 2012

Thank you Jill! I'm pleased with it! :) My favourite plant just now is the Filipendula. The leaves are almost like a mini-Rheum....but more divided. Lovely!
