My Collection is Growing Thanks to Shirley Tulip

My Collection is Growing Thanks to Shirley Tulip

A nice day today, I recieve a parcel very kindly sent from Shirley containing , Three Heuchera plants and a Tiarella plant too! The plants were very carefully wrapped in cardboard tubes and arrived in tip top condition! The colours are stunning and will complement those sent to me by Gee just over a week ago, The weather has ben fine so I was able to get out into the garden to place the little plants in a temporary hom until they are settled in. I am so lucky as I now have 8 Heucheras in my collection.
Shirley sent
Marmalade. Midnight Rose and Silver Scroll [such lovely names]
The Tiarella is.
Spring Symphony
Many Thanks Shirley for your kindness ;0))

You will have a lovely display very soon, Carole. I hope to get to the Kent Garden Show at the end of the month where last year there were several 'heuchera stands' doing special offers. I have a list as long as my arm but will have to shorten it before I go :)

Lovely - so nice to receive plants - I dare not split mine are they easy to take off the parent plant, I am scared in case I lose them. lol. I do not want to damage them. lol I am a scaredy cat when it comes to doing things like that. But I watched Monty Don planting up some cuttings of Delphiniums and when the rabbit knocked down my lovely plants and broke pieces off I stuck them into some compost and I think they might be growing so I am getting a little braver. Also chopped my Ribes (the white one) it was a bit uneven and I took heel cuttings and put them into compost so I am definitely getting braver. lol. Please let me know someone how I take my Heuchera cuttings or split them up.

It's not totally easy mum as they all come off one main stem. You have to do a sort of a root cutting and that's always a bit 'hairy' isn't it. I took a lump off the side of each of my blackcurrant jams and they are fine now.

I like Alan too, but apparently he is only very short so I think I might tower above him. lol. I like his little stories he writes for the G W magazine he makes me laugh. I was at my daughters waiting for a delivery the other day and was watching her tv (sky) and there was an old gardening programme on with him, Charlie and Tommy it was funny seeing them so young looking.
