Euphorbia ingens 'Monstrose' or 'Monstrosa' - Cadelabra Tree

Euphorbia ingens 'Monstrose' or 'Monstrosa' - Cadelabra Tree (Euphorbia ingens 'Monstrose' or 'Monstrosa')

This very twisted variety of the Cadelabra tree is an oddity. It's pretty widely grown in the landscape, though. Photo taken in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. on Mar. 7, 2012.

I have to think about this one....

It's an odd plant. Although, the more symmetrical one which is located not to far from this plant is much nicer.

I like it, it's interesting but in someone else's garden.

The one which is very widely grown here in people's gardens is Euphorbia ingens (Cadelabra Plant).

Here's a pic:

Is that actually sold as known to twist? Or luck of the draw? I've planted too many tree Euphorbs already on my small lot..but I would add that.

It does take up quite an area. I've seen so many Euphorbia species growing up in the SF Bay Area. This one I've never seen up there, though.
