Epidendrum Red-Orange Orchids

Epidendrum Red-Orange Orchids (Epidendrum Red-Orange Orchids)

Like many orchids in San Diego, winter is their best flowering time. This orchid blooms pretty heavily all year, though. Photo taken Feb. 8, 2012.

Palmate, thanks! My neighbor who gave this plant back in 2008 has many in their yard. They have virtually all colors...and they're very tall, big orchids.

Dottydaisy2:

No, only about 3ft/1m tall. In the ground they can grow to 8ft/2.5m tall. My neighbor, who gave me this plant has many hundreds in their yard which are about 8ft/2.5m tall (they also, have every color you can think of).

I like when they grow really tall and have many flowers. I've put some into the ground a couple of months ago...I can't wait until they grow tall! :>)
