This is one of many penstomen that bloomed so successfully in 2012. Hope this mild winter continues as I, like I suppose many of you, lost all my beautiful penstomens and fuchias for two years in succession.

Grampar - if it stays like this they will be safe!
Penstemon heterophylus (Electric or Heavenly Blue are the two common cultivars) and P.digitalis (Huskers Red) are incredibly hardy Penstemon.
