Sometimes this kind of rock has crystals inside. WHen we lived on the I.O.Wight I used to find little stones with holes in and if I looked closely there were little crystals.

Cool - yes I always thought it was salt - we have rocks with tiny crystals in - :))))))))

When you find rounded pebbles it's because they have laid in riverbeds or have been washed with the ebb and flow of the tide. It never ceases to amaze me how old the rocks and fossils are in comparison to how long mankind has been on the Earth.
