rose Alister Stella Gray

rose Alister Stella Gray (rosa)

I purchased this rose as Alister Stella Gray, but I am not 100% sure, because it is supposed to have repeat bloom and mine has only ever bloomed once each summer, no sign of any repeat bloom at all.

It certainly looks like the climber rose Alister Stella Gray and this rose is said to have a good reliable repeat, especially in the autumn.
It looks like you have a prolific flowerer there, lovely.

All climbers benefit from have the stems slightly bent near to the ground before allowing to climb away - this slows the sap and produces flowers all along the stem and not just at the top.
Do you dead head it when the blooms have finished as this encourages further flowering? But heavy pruning may stop the repeat blooms?

Its a shame it doesn`t repeat, but it looks very prolific.

It has a huge amount of bloom and lasts for a long time, so it is definitely a keeper, I have tried deadheading and still no sign of repeat.
I was wondering if anyone had the same experience with this rose, or maybe it is of another name??
