the tallest three are Fir...in front there are three Norway Pine, and to the right is an old cedar, the stump of which is two feet across and all the growth came from a stump...so Bampy take heart!

Hello Tog! how have you been? In moist areas, like along the Madawaska River, the trees frost like this. The river is so fast that it never freezes over completely. This, however, was from frozen mist...very wet conditions and a sudden drop in temperature, and a light dusting of snow afterward! If an arctic high moves in behind it and the sun comes out it is magical! It's so bright it's nearly blinding! (no high this time though.)
