This is a water colour of the front garden.Decided to return to painting after a break of 4 years!Garden took up a great deal of time but now the bleak months are approaching thought I would try my hand at Art again! More practice is required but am loving doing it!

Thats lovely.I'm going to make a start painting again this winter .To start with Lil Crawford encouraged me to show them and carry on and since I've seen so many goy members and their art work its definitely got me going.

That's how it happened with me,Rose.Seeing other people's work encouraged it.Do have a go! After the first few washes it begins to come back.

Thank you,Lil. Kind comment. It takes awhile to do but as gardening has nearly come to an end I'll have more time!

Do you think it's time to ask the powers that be whether we could have a section specially for GoYer's art work? All these artists emerging into the daylight and inspiring each other is of national importance.;-))) Actually, INTERnational importance! It'd be like our own private gallery viewing. Most of us seem to need reassurance that we are doing the right thing and that it's appreciated. I can't pretend I haven't got an axe to grind.
So waddya think?

lol Scottish!

I wonder if there would be enough participants? Like the idea,Gattina. We could all learn a great deal from viewing other peoples' Art work.
22 Nov, 2011
Well, there's a special section for mosaics, which I can understand, because they can form part of a garden display, but it would be nice to maybe extend that and have a "sub/sub" section for drawings and paintings - even tattoos, Specially for Bampy and Nosey, or sculptures, or we could have a recipes section, or a section for half-naked dishy directors, specially for Raquel - the possibilities are limitless! LOL :-D You could call it the "Things to amuse you when it's too wet to get out in the garden" section! Hurrah!
22 Nov, 2011
I'm with you all the way,Gattina!!Do you remember when I tried to introduce a Photography comp? There were a few members who were interested but also a few aversions.Photos could also be included. The naked dishy directors are an absolute must LOL!!!! Oops, sorry, meant to say half naked!!!
22 Nov, 2011
Shame on you, Meadowland! Behave yourself. Half naked is far better, anyway. The imagination needs some exercise or it's no fun at all.

Reprimand accepted!!!!LOL........;0)))

No Paul, you're not the only one that can't draw or paint (the only thing I can paint is my nails) lol

I"m the same Paul & Sheila....I'm a dab hand at painting walls or doors etc...but that doesn't count lol.....
It's really good J...I like it well done....:)))
