I was searching through my recipes, looking for something to make for a sweet tomorrow, for when Robin comes for Sunday Lunch. I came across this recipe for Shirley's Plum Cake , I have made it a number of times and it always goes down well. So having plums in my freezer from summer, I decided to give it a go again. As you may notice a piece as been already eaten Mmm delicious! but saving the remainder for my guest tomorrow served with Custard or cream.

We did think about calling in,Carole,but as it really was a last minute thing,,and we didn't leave home till after 'noon'.:o)and didn't want to just turn up.You may have had visitors ,or been busy..we just had a meal..very nice..and called at the Garden centre on the way back... sorry,if we had thought about it earlier,I would have rung you....

Thats a shame Sandra but next time we will meet up at our end! We have just come back from the Hartshead we have had a lovely lunch, very nice surroundings too, so perhaphs there next time ;0)

Ok,Carole,that sounds good....it's always nice to try somewhere different..:o)..Wonder what colour our party hats will be on Thursday ? hope they don't clash with Harry and Russell's outfits ! Lol.

I make one every week, this week I had two lge plums left and a couple of apples from the garden, so I put them both in, its delicious. enjoy Pp
