Many thanks to everyone for all your encouragement and lovely comments.
The original name of the cottage was Long Mead, which means long Meadow, the cottage itself dates back to 1765 it was very tiny, there are 7 cottages on Rabbit Lane all different sizes ours was the smallest and it is said that the Groom who worked at Mottram Old Hall lived there, a truly magical place;0)

It's another interesting painting that one could walk into and what's around the corner......It's lovely to hear about the history of the place too. Old buildings have a certain feel about them and with old stone and thick walls it certainly gives them character. WHen we lived at East Lodge 1795 It had some of the original 3 planked oak latch doors and leaded windows also a small cellar with two large hooks and stone benches. Probably used as a store for food as it was cool down there. When we decorated we found an original small fireplace too. Our cat used to sense something in the downstairs lounge sometimes and flatten herself, crawling along watching and following it up into our bedroom. I know we had a Ley line through the garden that ran through the bathroom and kitchen because I took an evening course of dowsing lessons, then dowsed the garden and found it.

Winter's coming so a good excuse to get the brushes and paints out......I use the ironing board to paint from as I can adjust it to the right height for resting my artpad on and there's enough space for the water jar, paintbox and brushes too. The more you paint the more you will want too really get going. Good Luck......Linda

I get the feeling that this doggy is not all that keen on snow! In the other painting he looks reluctant to go walking and in this one he looks as though he's saying 'look, darned snow again' ! :))
