Proliferation on daylily 'Diane Taylor' (Hemerocallis)

Well I've potted up and grown on many proliferations (small plantlets that develope on the flower scapes of some daylilies) in my years growing daylilies but never had one with flower buds before!!!!!

I have a little shoot on my day lily, no buds tho, do you cut them off and plant them up?

I had a similar happening on the crown of a Eucomis flower stem.

Yes Sticki, they sometimes have quite a lot of root on the base if so you can pot them straight away, if they only have a small amount put them in a glass of water so the base is just touching the water(any deeper and they'll rot) the roots grow very quickly :-)
Never grown eucomis Meanie must give them a go,this is the second one this year that this has had with buds, first time I thought it was a fluke but must be the variety.

I planted one and it has taken bit worried about mildew in the greenhouse over the winter though?

Mmm none of mine have ever suffered from mildew Drc sure they'll be fine :-)
Good luck Sticki :-) just potted some of mine up and within a week the roots are showing at the bottom of the pot.
