Improvised sieve stand

I bought a deep sieve from Amazon, but it would be impossible for me to lift it, far less shake it for any length of time. So I upended an old plastic stool, put the bag the sieve came in over it, and set the sieve on top - incredibly, it fitted exactly! It's still backbreaking to have to bend over, so I might try to make a taller one, or one on rockers with a handle so that I can stand upright!

I was surprised at how neatly the sieve fitted; a bit too big wouldn't have mattered half as much as a bit too small

the only snag was I put too much into thebag, it bulged so much that I couldn't lift it out of the stool - being only thin plastic, I didn't want to risk putting a rip in it. In the end I had to lift and tilt the whole "assembly" over a large pastic box to remove the excess so that the bag could then be lifted out.

*s* ideally I'd like one of the sieves I've seen in archaeology programmes - it's suspended from a frame and they just push it back and forth. But then, they want what stays in the sieve, so the dirt is discarded - I'd want what goes through.
