I picked some raspberries from the garden back in the summer, and I ate a few as I was picking them. One had a metalic taste so I spat it out - only to find one of these on it in my mouth .... Yach !! :O

Oh, the birch shield bug. This is our most common insect in Fairbanks. They are all over everything. We call them stink bugs, thus I feel for you Hywel. :-) They get in the car, the house, just everywhere. If you wear a bright shirt in the garden, you will find them all over you very quickly. Creepy things, but they don't bite at least.

Pimpernel brilliant photograph. looks like something out of Dr Who. You actually had this thing in your mouth! Are you training for "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here"?
