Clematis and Monarda

Clematis and Monarda

The monarda should end up being good support for this clematis as it trying to grow over the thing instead of towards the south as I expected it to grow. This mingle has brought blooms in the lower part of the monarda which is nice. Sweet william reseeded beneath, but the season is to short for muchto see the first year. Maybe we'll see them next year too.

Thank you Grandmage. They were a perfect accident....lol

Thanks 6p. It is already double maybe triple this size and blooming away still. Might be dividing every year if it keeps up. But really bright, 'fireball'

Thanks. Both the pink variety and the fireball, this one, have good strong structure in the leaves. I grow it for the leaf harvest in fall. I love the smell.
