Drought Stricken African Tulip Tree (Spathodea campanulata)

This photo shows how much die-back can be caused by a severe drought in 7 years. Now they need to cut out all the dead growth. Luckily, now the grass below is receiving water and isn't dry and hard as concrete (like it's been for several years). Photo taken at Presidio Park, San Diego, CA. on Aug. 29, 2011.
