It has flowered for weeks and weeks, think it is the sun shining on it which gives it that sheen Crissue.

Gorgeous colour....Are your new Roses bare rooted Barbara...!!

When I order them they will be bare rooted, yes Crissue, they come about middle of November usually, only last year when they came we were frozen solid and I could not put them in the garden it was ages before the ground was free to put them in. Hope it is not like it this back end. Have your ordered yours yet?

The new ones are suffering though, they keep having to be watered, the rest are coping fine with it all, but have noticed that the flowers are going to seed early because of the dry weather. :o( Rain forecast for most of the country tomorrow, hope you get a little we are desperate in this part of Lincolnshire.

Haven't had a quarter of the blooms that we had last year, because of the prolonged heat...and poor Gertrude J, barely opened a bloom before it was finished...Barbara what do you think of Just Joey,& Port Sunlight....
and how are my adopted babies (laugh)...; doing good...

Just Joey looks amazing, love the colour, I have Port Sunlight I am a little disappointed with the stature of this one it is rather a spindly rose I have found. The colour and form of the rose is ok but I do not like the way it flops its branches. I much prefer a rose which stands tall and strong. But that is just me. Your adopted babies are all doing fine, they are feeling their feet and starting to get out of their pen, not found how yet though, think they might have to have a wing clipped, naughty girls. :o)

aww...they are all girls then...!!

Glad you told me about Port Sunlight, its good to know others experiences...Just joey is on order, still looking for the third...

By the way Noisy has gone back to being just that again...so just have to ignore, OH thinks its as soon as she hears our voices...so we've taken to keeping our voices just a little lower...blooming marvellous isn't it, when the critters have you over a barrel....lol...

I still think that two might be cockrels but they are still too small to tell properly. I have a westie who has me over a barrel, he is nearly 14 and barks when he wants food, barks to be let out, barks when Paul walks his other dogs, think it is a form of senile dementia. You would think he was not able to do anything looking at him but when anyone comes who he likes he runs like a two year old up the garden and makes such a fuss, we just laugh at him and say isn't it amazing he was on deaths door only 1/2 an hour ago and suddenly he can spring into action. lol. He is such a kidder. Sleeps all day and night now. lol. the life of Riley eh!!
