Lucky you, I have lots of frogs but never any frogspawn as they go back to their birth pond to lay it.

Unless he was born there? that is my understanding Pixi. But I have loads of frogs so if you have one you will get more as long as they feel safe and have some plant cover to hide under. They will not usually cross open areas.

Well he wasn't born there Drc my neighbour jsut about put a spade through him! So he came over with it and asked if I would like it for the pond. :)

He will bring his family to visit you wait and see? I also have lizards in my garden and newts in my pond which all some how arrived, fortunately the huge grass snake only went in it the once a couple of years ago when it had been very hot and dry.

Yes I have to watch my cat too, that's why its good to have somewhere they can jump into and hide. We had a 3 legged frog for some years after the cat caught it.
