My little bit of old fashioned!

This was a bare patio made up of old stones ,flags, bits of tiles with our beautiful wall which I have transformed. Love this little bit of the garden.

I have cheated a little by pushing a bit of old guttering downpipe which i drilled holes into and filled with grit down the centre of the pot. I water the whole pot through this and it then seeps out right to the base without washing the soil out. It has worked very well for years, and with the trailing lobelia it disguises the fact that the strawberry container is indeed plastic.
