Hi love, I am so late this morning...done a couple of jobs, while I was waiting for the tinternet to come back in.....
Yea, I have got it stood in place lol...and I also bought a Coreopsis, but couldn't get a pic like the others it was flopping all over, anyway I've decided where that's going tooo, and it's where it's held up by everything around it...pic to follow....:)))

Hi Sue, already done a couple of jobs!...you put me to shame! lol!! You've been busy, busy!...I'm still waiting for the rain to stay off a while so that I can go and tackle the bindweed! Three weeks, healthy growth...:((((
Looking forward to the pictures! :))))

Plnats coming in late..Asda stopping all gardening supplies..I dunno what;s the world coming to!

26 Jul, 2011

lol...Pixi...
Bindweed urgh...I don't know how much you've got, but have you tried, putting the tops still attached to the plant into a jar with strong weed killer in and let it take the poison back to the roots...Jam jars with a hole cut in the lid, so the animals can't get to it..and buried in the soil...

26 Jul, 2011

What I've been doing is spraying them individually with a systemic weedkiller specifically for bindweed (just a little litre spray)...it does work...
...it's just that they have had so many years to get established, that I have to do it about once every 6 weeks...and it has to stay dry for a while afterwards!!!
...and, until I get someone out onto the bank of the stream (on the outside of our boundary) to give it a good clearout...I'm really just playing King Canute! lol!!

26 Jul, 2011

Oh well if you've got something that helps...that's good, sounds like you'd have to have a lot of jam jars lol....lol

I could keep a factory in business! lol!
