They do grow well here. My mothers in laws is a good 5feet tall. This is a cutting from her plant. It needs some protection in the winter from the strong winds.

5ft nothing...they can grow to 8 - 10ft tall in the ground. :>)

That would look amazing. I'm bringing mine indoors for the winter....I would love to see it grow to 8ft.

In pot they can stay 3 - 5ft tall. The shrubby begonias grow very large when grow in the ground in a semi-shady spot. I'll have to get some pics of some.

Yes, pictures will be nice.
Once the trees in my garden grow enough to give shade I will plant a cutting just to see it grow really tall.

I'll get some pics of the ones in Balboa Park...if they haven't trimmed them down. I know a couple in the park at least 8ft/2.4m tall.
