Yeeees Frybo, I lost some things after winter but I was lucky on these ones :-)

Those are some very nice looking bananas. Do they produce fruit?

It almost looks like the super dwarf banana, is it?

Those are also pretty much young like my other bananas; they are experiencing the second summer outdoors. They haven't produced any fruit yet but it would be fantastic they will do sometime in the very near future! They are Musa basjoo, but as you said, they do look like "super dwarf" if you compare those to the ones you've got in San Diego :-)

Musa basjoo is a very beautiful banana! I really like their large, tough leaves. It's not too widely grown here in San Diego...most people like to grow the really large eating bananas or the very sweet, delicious ladyfinger bananas, like Mysore (which is my favorite).

It makes sense to grow eating bananas!!
Woooo. It's just fantastic to have your own yummy bananas on your table! Envy envy envy!!!

It is very nice. Bananas take from: 4 to 5 months to ripen here. Although, that's pretty short compared to many citrus and avocado varieties. San Diego County is the capital avocado region of the U.S.
