I found Freddy in a bit of a state in my leek bed so i dropped him into my fountain for a soak and he was there all day

Frogs can play dead when disturbed/scared until they think the danger has passed. They do this in my garden sometimes when the cat chases it. I am glad you looked after it as they are lovely.
