They're beautiful, aren't they...they used to visit the pool at our old house, every afternoon around 6pm...haven't seen any here though...

Yes, the hollyhocks are quite lovely...there's a really gorgeous one growing out of the road outside our house! Did you visit the islands?...and a little village called St. George de 'something' (I've forgotten the name!)?...and eat seafood, so fresh, so fab? Really have to make our way that way again....

Ooooh, the langoustines, mmmm ....:)))
We live quite near there, but not very...
...we have been to the Basque lands further south, several times (St Jean de Luz, etc), and love it!
Around here is quite close to lots of different things...the caves and gorges of the Dordogne...the winelands of Bordeaux and St. Emilion...the beaches at Arcachon...and all the nice things that local life, here, provides (river beaches, pretty villages, slow pace etc.)....depends what you're looking for :)

House is very nearly finished (hate saying that, because as soon as I do, I find something else to majorly do! lol!). Garden another story...got to get it in order in the next 6 weeks, as I have to leave it in Camille's hands until next Spring! :(
