onions

Just lifted our first shallots...have onions and spring onions in, but in the ground this time...

last year i had some in a different shaped container and i really didn't sort out the drainage properly so they flopped.
This year i sorted the drainage problems and everythings doin much better (apart from the beetroot!)
I starded these from seed which from doing some reading up is an arkward way of doing it, i've just sowen some more and some springonions so fingers crossed they will work out ok aswell!

When we grow Beets in the ground, H usually sows seed, and they do ok..I've noticed in the GC's now you can by plugs...saves fiddling with the seed I suppose...

i love all the fiddling around lol, i started potting up in my bedroom back in feb/march time, put a couple of bin liners on the floor and away i went! then this week i set up a lil work station at work and was off again hehehe
