Geraniums and Fuschias in pots

??????what's going on? Isn't that your Acer pot on the left?

It is, have moved it into the front garden into an extended border, it did not like where it was and started to drop its leaves so thought I would give it a different home, it seems to be happier where it is. Think the wind was blowing around the house corner and battering it a little, it is more sheltered where it is at. I need to buy something for the pot now. lol. good excuse for a visit to g.c.

Hmmm...thinking what would look good in there....it's a similar colour to photinia red robin, which is a tricky colour to team up, but it looks good with cream flowers, and orangey roses...like summer song, or what about the really tiny miniature climbing rose 'warm welcome'? You'd like that, it's HOT!!

I was thinking of putting a rose in there, I think a cream one would be nice, but I also thought of a standard rose in it so will have to get my thinking cap on again. lol.

Oh yes, a rose would be lovely, especially a standard. I have seen a lovely small floribunda rose, minature, that I want to get my hands on....now what was the name again....Sweet Memories...I saw it at Chelsea...at least I think it was this one...tiny cupped flowers tumbling out of a pot, I am definitely going to have one some day!

Karen just been looking at Sweet Memories it is only rated a 3/10 for perfume, but it is a lovely rose like it a lot.

i suppose it won't matter if I have one rose that isn't perfumed! I have just been and bought another climber.....Bridge of Sighs....lovely!

Last year I could not smell Glamis Castle very much this year it is very perfumed, to the extent that as I walked past it this morning it made me spin round to see what was smelling so nice. The only problem I have with Glamis Castle is that the rain ruins it, it is such a heavy rose and it droops and goes very brown as soon as it has got wet.

That is the problem with a lot of the roses isn't it. That's why when rain is forecast I take some indoors. They never make it through the rain so they aren't wasted.
