Had this for 4 years. This is the second year it has bloomed.

Its been a good year..just sun, occasional watering if very dry and reasonable drainage and more sun..and sun..
The rhizomes have to be on the surface so they can bake.
I do go around making sure nothing covers them, like loose leaves or encroaching plants..and I tell them often how beautiful they are going to be of course!

These are such beautiful plants, I am planning to grow some next year, as we have some extra borders being made, all being well.

Buy some this year DD and pot them on. They will be easier to plant with a good root system and they will be ready to flower as you can put them anywhere there is sunshine to give them a good start. I find they are easier to get at the right level in a pot too. Then when you come to plant, you dont have to fiddle.
