Sounds good to me Val. They taste wonderful too when just picked. We will be planting out a few leeks next week. The beans and peas look Good.

They are such a versatile vegetable Val. They are slightly less potent than oinions too. I sometimes make a cheese and leek bake by boiling them, draining, then making a cheese sauce and adding to them and boiling some potatoes and adding a little salt pepper and butter when mashing. Putting that on top and baking in the oven till golden and in the last 10 minutes add some grated cheese on the top. It's nice with pork or bacon. Also leeks boiled with potatoes and mashed. Did this for Andy WHittkers show, and another presenter think his name was Chris Baird on Radio Derby years ago and he came and ate it with my while we talked on air.

I really love fresh veg. I sometimes cut up parsnip and peel carrots and leave them whole if middle sized then bring to the boil, drain sprinkle olive oil over and bake in oven for about 40 mins. We had some red cabbage tonight with our chicken.
