Clematis Belle of Woking

thats so lovely, pretty colour too, I gave my neighbour the clematis book back an hour ago, shame as I could have looked this one up for you.

Yorks I will google it in a minute. I am wondering if it is Belle of Woking as I used to have it years ago, and I am wondering if it has somehow managed to survive after all.

I googled it straight away, how long ago did you think you had lost it then.

Well for the last couple of years it has struggled and only put up a small shoot. Label had long disappeared. This year it managed to put up this long spindly shoot and three buds. I shall have to cosset it now, and see if I can strengthen it up a bit. Thanks anyway, I've just googled it and it is that one. I think I have about 26 Clematis now all around the garden with the new ones I bought this year.

I know Gilli, it is a serious affliction. Its been going on for years and sadly I cant see an end to it !!

Me neither Cinders. Maybe there's a support group for people like us?? Then again...GoY is rather like a support group. LOL

26! Your garden must be a picture right about now! I love this, an oldy I think but really pretty.

Well there are only six actually in flower at the moment, and five have finished for now, but two honeysuckles are blooming, so its quite colourful. But this clematis as you rightly say, is an old one.
