Pyrecantha Hedge - Sulphur Orange

This is a stunning performer when pruned correctly. First the flowers arrive and later the bright orange berries . It is evergreen. It has taken 9 years to grow to this height and depth. A really good hedge as it provides abundant food for the birds and nectar for the bees (which is why I planted it !)

I think the recommended distance was 2ft for this plant. So, nice thick hedge ! Hedge was buzzing with bees again this morning !

Yes the flowers have a wonderful scent, not overwhelming but captivating , carried on a warm summer breeze this draws one towards the garden.
The garden will be open again next year (having a year out this year to organise mom etc. ) Delighted you found time to view the video on 'you tube' . I have uploaded two video's to date of dering road. My neighbours look forward to the display of flowers every year . They are a talking point and I meet many lovely people gazing over the front hedge ! :)
