Hydrangea macrophylla - Blue bonnet and Veitchii

Taken in 2001 and not yet in full bloom. This shrub is in fact two shrubs and due for some serious pruning this year 2011. It has become clogged with brambles which have 'escaped' from surrounding hedgerows.
Lovely blue, unfortunately we have wrong type of soil so only get pink....
