Amaryllis in kitchen 09-05-2011 001

WOW! That looks like a hibiscus bloom, but it's on an elongated stem with no leaves. How awesome!
Do you have any photos of the plant's base?
I just HAVE to have one of these!

Have a look at the blogs I wrote about my Amaryllis last year & the year before. In them you can see many more photos & at every stage of development (except for the original seeds, it didn't occur to me to take photos of them!)

They are bulbs & very big ones at that!
