Lunaria annua 'Alba'

Lunaria annua 'Alba' (Lunaria annua)

I'll be delighted if this plant seeds around as the purple one does.

OH bought me this at our NGS lunch a few weeks ago, it is years since we grew it, and like you I hope it seeds around we used to grow a variegated one, not seen one for a long time, have you?

No, Dd - I've been trying to order seeds from Chiltern for three years now, and they always run out! :-(

So that's what you bought at your lunch. I got my Hedychium, a Penstemon 'Margery Fish' which came from her garden - well, the attached Nursery...and an Erysimum. :-)

Which Hedychium did you buy? ours survived the winter, could not believe it.
There was a very poor selection, I think most members were keeping plants back to sell when they open........we were very impressed with the sandwich and homemade cake lunch, Penny Snell gave a talk too.

It was Hedychium garderianum. It was left behind as people were leaving - so I gave them a couple of pounds, which was all the change I had left! I've never grown one before. We're lucky in that we have Lambrook Manor, Patricia Marrow ('Patty'!!!) and several NT properties, all of whom bring plants.

It's always nice to see other owners - we're beginning to get to know more of them now.

I have masses of seedlings coming up from my variegated white honesty. I'll try to remember to save you both some seeds (if you'd like some?!) and post them later this summer.

Thanks, Sheila - that's very kind. Another member was very helpful and gave me a link to an Ebay seller, so I'm hoping to get a packet of seeds through the post soon, but some more would be very welcome. :-))
