This bed was cultivated and planted up using 3 railway sleepers simply nailed together 12" infront of my garden wall; infilled with lots of top soil and 300 litres of multipurpose.
The plants seen here are (l-r) a winter flowering honeysuckle (forever being eaten by caterpillars throughout the spring/summer and then flowers when I rarely spend time in the garden dec-feb); Chilean Glory Flower (a truly rampaging plant which grew easily 20feet throughout the year and was killed off by the winter temperatures); my lovely sculptured and rusty shoal of Fish; Day lillies; Black Hollyhocks (which amazingly reached 8ft in height) and finally my pride and joy my white clematis montana - this was absolutely breathtaking last may and I'm hoping for the same but biggewr this year!
Really lovely, I love your fish :o)
